The Living Stage (Lorne)

The Living Stage was part theatre, part garden and part growing demonstration. A portable plant-lined stage sat within a corridor of suspended botanical sculptures, bringing sustainable design, gardening and performance together.

Created with the local community, it celebrated Lorne's flora and fauna while hosting local artists and musicians. The installation provided a tangible example of how ecological and artistic projects can contribute to community vitality and environmental stewardship.

At the project's end, plants and materials were returned to the community. Structures became garden beds and public spaces, plants became food, and organic waste became compost.
